Erasmus+ Traineeships is an action of the Erasmus+ Programme that allows university students to carry out a training internship abroad at companies, research centers, public institutions, or other types of organizations. The goal is to strengthen professional skills, improve knowledge of foreign languages, and support integration into the European and international job market. There are three main differences compared to the traditional Erasmus+ study mobility:
a) The traineeship mobility can take place either BEFORE (e.g., to collect data for writing an experimental thesis) or AFTER graduation (in general, the mobility must be completed within 12 months of obtaining the degree);
b) The destination for the mobility is not limited to institutions with which the Department has active agreements (it is the candidate's responsibility to identify and make arrangements with the host organization for the internship);
c) The start of the internship period is not strictly tied to academic semesters (start dates are flexible, depending on the host organization’s availability).
The internship must last a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 6 months, and includes financial support to help cover living and travel expenses.
All interested students are strongly encouraged to regularly check the Unina international mobility portal.
In general, a single call for applications is published (usually in June).
For the 2025-2026 academic year, it is also possible to apply to the One Health One Europe project (coordinated by Cosvitec Società Consortile A.R.L.)..
