UNIVERSITY STUDENTS TRAINING
(students, doctoral students, postgraduates, trainees, scholarship holders, research fellows and subjects equivalent to them)
(so-called equivalent workers)
All university students (students, doctoral students, postgraduates, trainees, scholarship holders, research fellows and subjects equivalent to them) when they attend teaching, research or service laboratories, due to the activity specifically carried out, and are exposed to risks identified in the document assessment are treated as workers and therefore are recipients of the prevention and protection measures aimed at protecting their health and safety.
It should be noted that laboratories are considered to be places or environments in which teaching, research or service activities are carried out which involve the use of machines, appliances and work equipment, systems, prototypes or other technical means, or of chemical, physical or biological agents. Also considered laboratories are places or environments where activities are carried out outside the built-up area of the headquarters - such as, for example, archaeological, geological, maritime campaigns.
Before starting activities that involve exposure to risk, every university student (so-called equivalent worker) must compulsorily follow the online course "General training on safety and health at work", which requires a 4-hour commitment, and pass its final test.
At the end of the general training course, the aforementioned university students will be invited to attend lectures, which involve a commitment of 8 or 12 hours dedicated to specific training on risk factors connected to the activities to be carried out, in order to complete the mandatory training course on safety and health in the workplace.
All information relating to general online training and specific face-to-face training on risk factors can be found on the page
